Charlotte Barker

Charlotte Barker is an experienced and award-winning Series Producer, working across comedy-entertainment, entertainment, factual entertainment and features programmes. 

She is a dual UK and US citizen and has lived and worked in London, Los Angeles and New York.

Specialising in unique, attention-grabbing and funny creative, she worked on all series (two as Series Producer) of the BAFTA-nominated, RTS and Edinburgh TV Award-winning Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back. The show was a genre-busting hybrid comedy entertainment / consumer affairs programme that regularly made headlines with its innovative stunts. 

On top of generating funny, boundary-pushing ideas, she runs large teams to then deliver them, often under complex production demands. She works with unique talent to create concepts that work with their particular voice, and brings them to life in a way that will garner buzz, headlines and viewers. In order to pull these off, she has established and maintained strong relationships with high-profile talent and channel commissioners. 

Charlotte is equally comfortable on big-scale productions,  responsible for everything from the initial concept to the final delivery and in  development, generating new ideas or bringing development team’s visions to life. She has overseen pilots and launched many first series, as well as returning as a safe pair of hands to inject new ideas into existing formats. 

Key skills are to  infuse entertainment and comedy sensibilities into other genres, such as features and factual entertainment (Joe Lycett's Got Your Back - Series Producer / Stacey Solomon's Renovation Rescue - Edit Producer) or branded content (Google Family Safety x Channel 4 with Katherine Ryan - Series Producer).

Charlotte has worked with some of the biggest comedy talents in the UK, including Joe Lycett, John Bishop, Alan Carr, Katherine Ryan, Rhod Gilbert, Jon Richardson and Jimmy Carr as well as many high-profile US comics.

Charlotte’s broadcast credits include: Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back (Channel 4), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central), The John Bishop Show (ITV), Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson (Comedy Central), Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescue (Channel 4), Joe Lycett’s Big Pride Party (Channel 4), The Fix (Netflix), Alan Carr’s Chatty Man (Channel 4). She has also worked in development at companies including Rumpus Media, BBC Entertainment, So Television and Hello Sunshine.
