Twice BAFTA nominated for his roles in producing the BBC coverage of
One Love Manchester and ITV’s
Concert for Ukraine, Tom has most recently specialised in delivering television coverage of high-profile live events including the
Invictus Games, the
BBC Proms, Global Citizen Live and the
Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and has had a career spanning over twenty-five years in entertainment and factual entertainment television, producing
Strictly: It Takes Two, The Paul O’Grady Show and the
One Show.
His credentials as a project manager and team leader, as well as TV Series Producer, were founded in an eight-year career as an officer in the Royal Navy which culminated in his role running the logistics departments of nuclear deterrent submarines.
Tom is used to delivering projects from concept to completion, on time and on budget, overseeing all aspects of production, including digital content, from talent casting to set design and graphics briefs, from shaping the narrative of a show to gallery producing and final edits. He’s also used to getting projects off the ground, including preparing development pitch decks and has been part of two successful BBC competitive tenders.
As is the nature with large scale events, he has extensive experience in working collaboratively working with multiple stakeholders including the Royal Household, worldwide charities, international broadcasters, and commercial partners, ensuring all objectives are met, often against extremely tight timescales.
Whilst looking to achieve the highest possible creative ambition in all his projects, Tom also works hard to put together teams that are fully representative of society and prides himself on being a mental health first aider.
