Executive Producer, Series Producer, Producer /Director, Edit Producer

Malcolm is a very experienced and versatile Executive Producer, Series Producer and Producer/Director. He has a strong track record in making documentaries and factual programmes for terrestrial and international broadcasters.

 

Since 2021, he has been the SP or Executive Producer of over 90 hours of television, including The 80s’ Greatest Hits, Britain’s Favourite ‘90s Songs and Greatest Pop Videos – running a team of 40 people. 

 

He has made numerous archive comedy shows including Man About The House: 50 Years of Laughter (Spun Gold), Ronnie Corbett’s Unseen Tapes (ITN for ITV) and Victoria Wood: In Her Own Words (Channel 5 / Sky Arts). Most recently, he was Edit Producer of cancer-awareness show The Real Full Monty 2023 ( Spun Gold) for ITV.

 

Malcolm began his career in production management, before becoming a producer/director. HIs programmes have covered countless different subjects and the focus often shifts back to Music and Medicine, not forgetting a lot of Comedy. He has proven adept at working with high-profile talent and getting the best out of sensitive situations while delivering on time and on budget.

He also made sports programmes at Sunset + Vine, including American basketball show NBA Jam Session.

 

His credits include Preppers UK: Surviving Armageddon - two documentaries filmed a year apart for National Geographic; peak-time documentaries for ITV and international sales, such as The 55-Year-Old Commando and Superhuman: The World’s Tallest Children. He has worked on ratings hits like I’m A Celebrity .. Get Me Out of Here and Hell’s Kitchen, plus the ever-popular formats MasterChef and Come Dine With Me, including celebrity editions. Other food programmes in his resumé include being Senior Edit Producer on 84 hours of Britain’s Best Dish – supervising multiple offlines, 3 onlines and 2 dubbing suites in the same day; Nigella Lawson’s The Taste (CPL for Channel 4) and Gino D’Acampo’s Italy (Betty for ITV)
