Nicholas is a true showrunner, leading from the front and working closely with his production management peers. Naturally adept at all necessary legal, financial, compliance and welfare issues, he’s calm under pressure, well organised and has the emotional intelligence required to manage large teams and deal with complex relationships and multiple stakeholders.
He has managed huge teams on reality and competition shows, launching many first series, often taking shows from page to screen, including
Must Be The Music (Sky),
Famous and Fearless (C4) and
Dance, Dance, Dance (ITV). He's worked on factual entertainment formats such as
Five Dates a Week (C4),
Ultimate Wedding Planner (BBC2),
Plastic Surgery Undressed (BBC3),
Time Crashers (C4) and
The Family Brain Games (BBC2).
He’s produced large scale shows in iconic venues such as The London Palladium, Wembley Arena and Earls Court and is well versed in working with A list talent such as Naomi Campbell (The Face, Sky) and Bette Midler (One Night Only, ITV ), as well as the cream of British presenters such as Davina McCall, Bradley Walsh, Alesha Dixon, Ashley Banjo, Joanna Lumley, Jason Manford, Jimmy Carr, Sharon Osbourne and Dara O’Briain.
He’s produced hundreds of hours of live television from the gallery, from his early days on The Big Breakfast to the more recently as Series Editor on the BAFTA nominated
Steph’s Packed Lunch.
Nicholas has worked as a Development Executive with production companies such Hello Halo, Ricochet, Two Four, Label 1, Banijay, Lion and Boundless mainly across factual entertainment formats. He's also been an international format consultant, travelling to China for Fremantle as well as Vietnam and Finland for Shine.
