Simon is an accomplished Executive Producer, format creator, and consultant with an impressive track record of producing and showrunning some of the most iconic international formats in the US, including American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. He has also served as a consultant for America’s Got Talent, Let’s Make a Deal, and Family Feud on NBC.
With his expertise in making large scale event television entertaining and magical both in studio and on location, Simon specializes in non-scripted reality competitions and shiny floor formats. He is an acclaimed keynote speaker and frequently delivers lectures on non-scripted format development in the US, UK, and Australia at universities and industry conferences such as BANFF, Hunan TV in China, and CJ ENM in South Korea.
Simon has recently Executive Produced a Netflix scripted feature film called Meet Me Next Christmas, which stars Grammy-winning a cappella group Pentatonix and Christina Milian and is scheduled to release in November 2024.
Simon is eager to expand his portfolio and work more in the UK, and he has a development slate that he is open to co-producing and developing.
He holds both US and British citizenship and has bases in Los Angeles, Nashville, Sydney, and London.
