Bringing a wealth of experience and a keen eye for storytelling to every project, Poppy has spent over a decade in the TV/Film industry. Her skills span across all genres from Documentary and Specialist Factual to Factual Entertainment, Structured Reality, and Drama. Whether exploring the lightheartedness and dramatics of dating and challenge-based shows, or pressing issues within true crime, sports, and social impact. 

 

From broadcast and SVOD platforms to digital and social branded content, Poppy specialises in launching first series and revitalising returning formats, leading projects from the creative development through to delivery. Not only creating new formats and building the visual and editorial direction, but crafting series structure and tasks from ideation to the mechanics, securing sensitive access to high-profile stories, producing compelling and weaving narratives in the field, gallery, and edit, as well as directing cast and crew with a distinct and adaptable style – be it run and gun, cinematic, or observational, and more recently Casting for the likes of Ch4’s ‘Married at First Sight UK’ and US production company Jolly Octopus Media (project currently under NDA). 

 

Having managed all departments, Poppy is unflappable in navigating complex and large-scale logistics, budgets, and compliance. She has filmed and set up shoots internationally in over a dozen countries, worked on over 50 TV formats, collaborated with over 20 brands including Samsung, Pringles and Unicef, delivered fast turnarounds of 300+ assets at a time for large-scale live events on behalf of Blast Premiere and Ubisoft, and frequently works alongside prominent figures in comedy, pop culture, sports, journalism, charity, and social advocacy, from the likes of Joel Dommett to Humans Rights Activists Lina al-Hathloul - As well as developing formats and stories for shows such as BBC ‘My Life’, InsightTV’s ‘G2 Making the Squad’, and ‘Siege to Win’, for various production companies, and maintaining strong relationships with commissioners across the UK and US. 

 

More recently, Poppy has focused on Series Producing and Directing ongoing social impact films - With her continual studies of Human Rights and Law through The Open University, and working alongside organisations including Human Rights Watch, ALQST, and Amnesty International aims to give voice to vital human rights issues. 

 

Credits include the likes of Ch4’s ‘Married at First Sight, UK’, Amazon’s ‘Inside Man, S3’, Ubisoft’s ‘Siege to Win’, MTV’s ‘Love at First Lie’, ‘Are you the One?’ and ‘Generation Change’, ITV’s ‘Midsomer Murder: 25 Years of Mayhem’, UKTV’s ‘Comedy Against Living Miserably’, and InsightTV’s ‘G2’s Making The Squad’ and ‘The Flying Kestrel, S2’ - amongst many more.

 

Alongside my work as Series/Senior Producer and Director, I am happy to continue to be considered working across the Edit as well as Story, Casting, Task and MIV Producing.
